Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow surface conditions were a mix of crusts or windpressed snow on SE-S aspects <8500'.  Most upper elevation terrain(8000-9500') N-E aspects had some unconsolidated snow in more protected spots with most areas having some sort of wind effect on the surface-still offering decent riding conditions.  Beautiful clear day, the SW winds were in the light to moderate range on passes/peaks, only moving snow in a few areas that we could see.  No signs of instability observed anywhere on our tour.  Early season conditions with lots of rocks out there or just below the snow surface.
