Photo 1: Small surface hoar already succumbing to wet metamorphism at 10am

Photo 2: Natural rollers, note minor trenching to the right of tree. SE slope, 8,000ft

Photo 3: +/- 24hrs old, E/SE slope 8200ft

Photo 4: Pooled free water refrozen last night and collecting more free water today. Bed surface for trenching in photo 2 and likely 3

 

At 11:40am, 8200ft on a North aspect 30degree slope:

2x CTN, column isolated to 50cm

Very spring-like cumulus clouds built steadily. Rain began to fall just before 1pm and briefly became mod to heavy 2:30-3:00pm.
