Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Skied up and around the 10,000' level in the Relay Peak area.  Some minor evidence of yesterday's N and NW winds at the highest elevations but very minor with no wind crusts present.  The snowpack is in good shape, right side up with the layers progresively getting harder as you go down into the snowpack.  Warmer temps than yesterday but still below freezing, no evidence of any wet snow instability.  On solar aspects there was 2-5'' of soft snow on top of a mainly ski supportable crust.

Photo #1 3-5mm surface hoar on all aspects in the morning, sticking around through the early afternoon on all but south aspects.

Photo #2 Ski kicked and dropped many large cornice junks on previously wind loaded slopes N-E aspects with no results.
