Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Wet and windy today with rain level reaching 7800' at 11:30am.  The top 10cm surface snow was wet and sticky with skier triggered roller ball activity in any terrain over 30 degrees.  The buried P hard crust is approximately 25cm below surface.  Several hand pits all showed a good bond between the upper snowpack and this crust.  No snow accumulations at the 8000' level and limited snow transport.

Photo#1: Looking up towards the Sierra Crest and Tinkers Knob.

Photo#2:  Small cornice kick caused roller ball activity on slope.

Photo#3:  Ski cut in steeper terrain caused roller balls to run full slope, N aspect, 8000'
