Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Several inches of soft, cold, unconsolidated snow existed on the snow surface on the W-NW-N-NE-E aspects on Waterhouse Peak at all elevations. Some near surface facets and surface hoar have formed on the on the snow surface on the more northerly aspects. Ski cuts, hand pits, and general observations showed strong bonding between and within layers in the upper snowpack.
