Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

An inversion today with warmer air temps at higher elevations and a deep snowpack all helping to settle and consolidate the existing snowpack.  Evidence of previous east winds scouring upper exposed slopes leaving a variety of wind board and wind textured snow surface conditions.  Unconsolidated snow still exists in protected areas with a variety of supportable/breakable crusts developing on solar aspects.  Surface hoar was limited to around and near Incline Lake.

Photo#1: Small, 1-2mm, surface hoar near and around Incline Lake.

Photo#2: Wind scouring from the E winds near Relay Peak.
