More detailed information about the snowpack:

Above 8,600', new snow amounts of 2 to 5 cm existed in wind protected areas and up to 10 cm in wind loaded areas. No evidence of instability was observed in either formal or informal tests. Good bonding was observed at the old/new snow interface. At the pit location (noted lat/long) at 9,800' on a NE aspect free water had only percolated down through the top 79 cm of the snowpack. The lower density old PWL was probed 195 cm below the snow surface. T air = 0C, T sur = -1C.
