Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Conditions varied from hard crusts in wind scoured areas to 4-8 inches of soft snow on the most shaded northerly aspects. Most of the northerly aspects had 2-4 inches of new snow on top of a supportable crust. On more southerly aspect more firm conditions predominated. Firm dense wind slabs 6-10 inches thick existed on the most wind loaded aspects. Ski cuts and oven sized pieces of cornices dropped on these wind slabs did not result in any cracking or slope failures. Snowpit data indicated that the upper portion of the snowpack continues to consolidate in this area.
