Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Good overnight freeze with clear skis in the morning.  Supportable melt freeze crust on solar aspects softening into the day.  The combination of the good overnight freeze and increasing SW winds seemed to limit wet snow instabilities. On northerly aspects 4'' of heavier unconsolidated snow existed above 7500' in protected trees.  No signs of snow transport as the SW winds increased through the afternoon.  Some roller ball activity observed off of the highway below 7500'.
