Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Thin melt freeze crusts forming on protected north facing aspects up to 7800'.  Southerly aspects were soft and sticky below 7800' in the mid afternoon.  Some small roller ball activity observed on all aspects below 7800'.

Increasing clouds throughout the afternoon into early evening.  SW winds did increase throughout the afternoon but were mostly in the light range with some moderate gusts.  Winds were not strong enough to cool the snow surface sufficiently to prevent wet snow instabilities at this location.
