Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Hey Guys,  General wind scour from East slope.  4 to 5 inch windslab forming at or near tree line with scoured conditions on ridge above tree line. Heard three definitive whumphs.  Hand pit showed light crust of rain layer with unconsolidated snow underneath 3 to 4 inches deep.  New snow showed shooting cracks from ski pressure skinning. No observable signs of snow pack instability during or after whumph heard.  Felt like old snow collapsing under new snow from skier compaction.  No movement during ski descents. Heavy transport to West.
