More detailed information about the snowpack:

Variety of snow surface conditions in this area.  Lots of punchy and breakable crusts on solar aspects below 9500'.  Upper elevation NW aspects had cold unconsolidated snow in protected gullies.  Solar aspects had 3'' of wet snow on top of a firm melt freeze crust by late morning, above 9500 had good spring snow conditions and below 9500' was punchy and sloppy.  Minimal roller ball activity.  Below 9000' snow was patchy on South aspects.

Photo #1: Breakable crust on a S facing meadow at 10am, 8700'.

Photo #2: NW aspect at 9800'.  Continued near surface faceting providing good travel conditions
