More detailed information about the snowpack:

Significant settlement and consolidation has occurred in this area. The layers of lighter snow within the snowpack have almost been assimilated. Now the snowpack in this area looks much more right side up. The snowpit data from this area showed a less strong rain crust near the base of the snowpack with a softer layer of snow still lurking beneath it. Becker Peak still has plenty of large rocks other anchors billowing up out of the snow in many areas. Ski cuts on N-NE facing test slopes 35-38 degrees in steepness did not produce any signs of instability today in this area. The snow on the shaded northerly aspects remains soft, while wet heavy snow existed on the southerly aspects.
