Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Pit dug on an ENE aspect with significant sun exposure. Very stable snowpack conditions with little to no faceting in the lower snowpack at this location. There was sufficient east component at this location for the absence of the persistent weak layer found on NW-N-NE aspects.

Up to 3 inches of wet surface snow was observed on southerly aspects below between 7,200' and 8,000' at noon.
