Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Pit location was chosen in this area by trying to find where the persistent weak layer was closer to the surface. In most of this area the PWL is buried 1.6m to 3m deep. At the pit location the PWL was 115cm to 135cm below the snow surface. At this location, the layer was moist and covered by a strong slab of moist to wet snow. At this specific site, pit data indicates strengthening of the PWL with propagation unlikely. Other recent observations from around the forecast are have indicated continued likely propagation on the PWL.
