More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snow pit dug in an undisturbed (no skier/ avy-control nor significant wind effect) area. Site was located in relatively flat terrain. Just north of the Mt Rose Ski Tahoe Chutes. Yesterday's avalanche activity was on similar crust/facet weak layer combination capped by stiff windslabs from recent snow storms.

Height of snow in the area ranged from just under 100cm to 130cm. Recent storm snow shows significant settlement.
