More detailed information about the snowpack: 

I dug a pit about 40 feet below the ridgeline at 7700 feet in a little open pocket in the trees.  Slope aspect was 20 deg, pitch was 31 deg.  The crust/facet layer wasn't as immediately obvious to me from the profile alone as it was a couple of weeks ago, but an extended column test found it and yielded the following result: ECTP 26 down 65cm.
