Deep slab instability in this area is ongoing, but harder to trigger than when observations were last made in this area on March 2nd. The mid February storm snow layer just above the crust/facet persistent weak layer is showing evidence of early faceting. Observations point to a hard to trigger weak layer that will propagate once collapsed.
