More detailed information about the snowpack: 

N/NE aspects below 8600ft held ~20cm of cold, light snow with the rare base from our first storm.

N/NE aspects above 8600ft held pockets of 60cm+, with a distinct firm base from first storm.

Pic 1: Taken from 9000ft, looking towards pit location. Several lines held enough snow to ski to Crater Lake, though more E aspects did not.

Pic 2, pit: Large graupel just above MFcr at 49cm. Mitt pits showed these 2 layers were widespread. 1 reactive column test - no further signs of instability were observed.
