More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow coverage in this area remains limited to northerly aspects without much tree cover where more snow has been able to accumulate this fall. On those open northerly slopes where the most snow exists, snow depths range from 25-50cm. The snow pack consists of a more consolidated layer of snow near the bottom with a melt freeze crust above it. An thin and inconsistent layer of facets (weak sugary snow) exits near this crust in some areas but not in others. Above this crust 1-15 cm of unconsolidated snow remains from the last storm cycle.
