More detailed information about the snowpack:

Supportable snow surface on all aspects and in nearly all locations. The existing snowpack in this area is in good condition to handle new snow loading or rain. Surface conditions in the area are generally either melt freeze crust or wind packed surface. Very isolated pockets of unconsolidated snow linger in wind protected areas that remain shaded all day. Overnight snow surface refreeze has occurred under clear skies despite above freezing air temperatures in many locations at the mid and upper elevations.
