Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

New snow amounts in this area measured 6cm (just shy of 2.5 inches). Cracking in this area was limited to the immediate area around my skis, but still failing down on the top of the faceted Dec 7 persistent weak layer (photo 1). Snowpit tests continue to indicate ongoing propagation potential and the possibility of human triggered avalanches occurring on this weak layer.

Areas on N-NE aspects at and above treeline were in a state of active wind scouring due to the strong NE winds at ridge level (photo 2).
