Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Less wind slabs development in this area than compared to other recent observations from around the forecast area. Good stability observed on N-NE-E aspects traveled. Wet surface snow 1 to 3 cm deep was noted on all N-NE-E aspects up to the high point of travel at 7,800'. Melt-freeze crust formation is likely tonight in this area as this wet surface snow refreezes. Snowpit data shows significant rounding of crystals in old near surface facet and near crust facet layers within the top 1 m of the snowpack.
