More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Large scale whumpfing and collapsing, traveling approximately 100' across a slope, was first noticed above treeline at 9975' on the northeast aspect of 10,005'.  Whumpfing and settling continued down the northeast slope below treeline to 8100'.   New snow totaled 12+" on top of denser wind affected snow.
