Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Frozen crust, supportable, in morning with up to two inches of fresh snow in shade and on Northerly aspects. East and south facing slopes softening at 10 -10:30 moving toward pin wheels at 11:30. North stayed cool and soft.  Crust began to soften around 12:00 where a strong pole plant would break through to soft winter snow crystals below.  Hand pit up to 14 inches below crust Layer (1 to 1.5 inches) and found no density change at 8500-9000'.  12:30 southerly exposures warming rapidly and becoming sticking, some pockets of good refreeze and corn skiing.
