Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Carson Pass has a slightly deeper snowpack than other places in the forecast area.  Basal facets were observed in this area today but were showing signs of rounding and were smaller than seen in other locations.  In protected below treeline terrain and at treeline terrain we did snowpack tests-none of which showed that propagation was likely on the basal facets.
