More detailed information about the snowpack: 

We found exstensive surface hoar formation from 7200-7800', on a N aspect. Ranging from 5-10mm, it was widespread in all areas open to the night sky. Also, there was evidence of minor near-surface faceting in the top 4cm of Spx. No signs of instability on our tour today, upper spx seems to be bonding well.
