Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Strong southwest winds were transporting small amounts of snow and pieces of sun crust along ridgelines. This transport was not enough to form wind wind slabs on the leeward aspects today. Snow surfaces ranged from breakable sun crusts on sun exposed southerly aspects to soft unconsolidated snow on the sheltered north aspects to scoured surfaces on exposed N-NE-E aspects at the upper elevations. The 12/13 rain crust was not found below the surface in this area and snowpit data did not reveal any signs of current instability in this area. Some tests indicated that a weak layer may be forming below the 12/10 rain crust that could be of concern in the future.
