More detailed information about the snowpack: 

10 inches new snow above a lense of clear ice rain crust. Lense approx. 5 mm thick with decent bond of snow above and below. Interesting fragile lense of clear ice that bent before breaking under pressure in handpits. Very light winds developing little to no wind slabs at tree line at peak of Andesite.  No evidence of failure, cracking, or movement on decent.  Each turn did penetrate to the rain crust and collapse it into snow layer below.  Made for some interesting noise while skiing down.
