More detailed information about the snowpack:

Warming trend over the last few days with valley inversions and warmer temperatures at the higher elevations than we experienced last week.  Moist surface snow existed on all aspects and elevations up to at least 9800'.  Early season snowpack conditions exist in this area with up to 1-1.5' of snow on northerly aspects.  The snowpack is made up of moist snow on the surface, mostly weak faceted snow in the mid pack and crusts towards the ground that formed earlier this season.  The faceted snow in the mid pack showed little propagation results with stability tests.
