Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

A heavy stomp on the leeward edge of the ridge at Deep Creek produced a reactive slab fracture. Cracks shoot and split 30' to the left and 25' to the right of skier. Skier cuts below the ridge did not produce any movement in the snow pack. Although a little more consolodated than yesterday (12/25), the new (non-wind affected) snow is not reactive to skier weights.

Skied the main bowl and the right flank at Jakes yesterday. The new snow pack was 14"-40" above mid-December rain crust. Unconsolodated and unreactive, top to bottom.
