Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

There were signs of wind effected snow in exposed areas on N-NE-E aspects from the recent NE wind event.  Some of these areas were scoured back down to the 12/24 rain crust and less effected areas had dense wind compacted snow.  In wind protected areas unconsolidated snow still exists with about 40cm of snow on top of the 12/24 rain crust.  A snowpit showed snowpack depth at 180cm with mostly uniformed layering with firmer/more dense snow as you get deeper toward the ground.  No cracking was observed in wind effected areas on exposed ridges as wind slabs have gained strength.
