More detailed information about the snowpack:

Conditions in the Castle Peak/Andesite Ridge area are much like other places in the forecast area.  Soft, unconsolidated snow exists on all aspects below treeline in wind protected areas.  All aspects near treeline and exposed have seen some sort of wind scouring and are a mix of firm rain crusts and wind blown deposits.  No blowing snow observed today at this location and no signs of any recent wind slab development.  This area didn't have much, if any, available snow for transport on any aspect that was exposed.  Snowpack tests showed no layers/interfaces of concern.
