Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Old basal and mid pack facets on northerly apects in this area are continuing to round and gain strength. The now fairly rounded old basal facets remain somewhat loose grained, much more so than those observed in other areas in recent days. Large column snowpit tests did not show any problematic failures on either of the old mid pack or basal facet layers which are now well rounded.

The snow surface remained below freezing on northerly aspects despite above freezing air temperatures and cloud cover. No evidence of instability was observed while on tour in this area. North aspect avalanche paths off of the summit of Chickadee Ridge remain well anchored by numerous large boulders.
