Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Much warmer temperatures and lighter winds than experienced yesterday.  This area has been heavily wind scoured over the last few days from the strong to gale force east winds.  Exposed terrain had wind crusts and scouring with some protected treed areas having soft unconsolidated snow.  Solar aspects had some soft snow in the late morning hours where enough snow existed to travel.  Some of the starting zones on N-NE-E aspects are scoured to rock/bushes/ground.  Winds were mainly in the light range with no blowing snow observed.  Snow coverage was adequate in this area with 1-2' of snow at 7100'.
