Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow pit tests show failures in the new snow at 15 cm and 30 cm below the surface. The failure at 15 cm was with an easy compression test and a Q2 shear. The layer seems to be of a different density with respect to the rest of the snow. The failure at 30 cm was on a 1cm thick graupel layer from a hard compression test, also with a Q2 shear. Subsequent extended column tests and propagation saw tests for both layers produced nothing of note.
