More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snow surface conditions are transitioning on all aspects in this area.  On southerly aspects at mid day, 2-3'' of wet snow existed above 5'' of colder dryer snow on top of an existing melt freeze crust (see photo#2).  Boot pen in these areas was around 8'' deep with punchy conditions but mostly ski supportive(see photo#1).  On shaded northerly aspects there were pockets of soft unconsolidated snow mixed in with areas of crusts and heavier snow.  Lower angle terrain on northerly aspects is now receiving sun and developing crusts and sticky snow at all elevations.  No signs of any instabilities observed today.
