More detailed information about the snowpack:

Spring like feel at the start of the day with air temps about 50 degrees F at 7800' at 12 O'clock. On the way up snow conditions varied depending on aspect and solar radiation. There was no signs of solar shedding or pinwheels falling from rocks on any southerly aspects in sight. Some small amounts of loose wet snow was sluffing during skiing. No signs of natural avalanches were obsereved. At 15:30pm when we reached the summit at 9400' the winds were sustained at 20mph out of the South, this came as a surprise since there was no wind on the way up. There was wind effected snow on the ridgeline but no sign of snow transporting to the North. At the end of the day temps had dropped down to 38 degrees F at 8500' and cloud cover was increasing.
