Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Northwest through Northeast aspects below tree line and protected from the wind continued to hold approximately 12 to 18 inches of soft, unconsolidated winter snow above a prominent rain crust (which is skier supportable).  Informal hand pits, pole probing and small test slopes did not show any signs of instability.  South winds were increasing throughout the day and visible wind loading was occurring on leeward aspects at the ridge line.  However, it only appeared to be occurring near ridge line and a couple of feet downslope.  Most wind-exposed aspects near ridge line and above tree line (i.e. the East Bowl) appeared to be wind scoured or wind effected slopes.  By staying down I'm the trees below ridge line on Northenly aspects, there was no evidence of wind loading however.
