More detailed information about the snowpack:

In the morning@ 9:15 snow line was around 7000'. There was light to moderate snowfall throughout day, along with windy conditions and wind gusts just above 20mph. Snow was wet, heavy and punchy on most of the way up. Winter like conditions started around 7800', snow was sticking to the trees and the surface the higher we got. Also, the surface had developed a 2-3cm breakable crust but the snow was still wet/heavy/punchy underneath. Snow was continuing to accumulate as we left around 13:00. Only sign of instability was pinwheels and were only observed on steep slopes and when deep ski cutting.
