More detailed information about the snowpack:

Mostly firm conditions exited on all elevations and aspects of Castle Peak today. Some small areas of soft unconsolidated snow did still linger in sheltered non-wind affected areas, but these areas are becoming more difficult to find. Snowpack observations showed some softer weaker snow sitting above a thick frozen rain crust in some areaa and a mix of wind packed, wind-scoured, and breakable melt-freeze crusts on the surface in most areas. Observations did not reveal any significant signs of instability.
