More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Tour to summit of Round Top from Carson Pass (8400' to 10400' on NW thru NE aspects). Below treeline 10 to 15cm of recent unconsolidated snow sat on supportable (approx. 4cm thick) MF crust with another 10cm of faceted snow down to impenetrable crust below. At treeline we found the best (decent) skiing with pockets of soft wind deposited surface snow in sheltered gullies. Above treeline ski conditions were challenging (see image) alternating between scoured rain crust and hard wind deposits.
