Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snow surface widely variable from soft wind crust to highyly reflective water ice.  Grains below surface sugary and plentiful, about 30 cm worth, then more hard snow all the way to the ground (probed (with difficulty)).  Very strong SW winds this morning transporting a modest amount of snow.  Cornices in this neighborhood well-developed despite relatively minimum snow cover.
