More detailed information about the snowpack: 

There is still some soft skiing in the Castle Pass area on NW aspects near treeline (8400'). Snow depth in this area is ~100cm. We observed isolated cohesive wind slabs over weaker snow at treeline on the same NW aspects. The wind slab was ~15cm thick. Column tests identified a moderately strong interface near the base of the slab. No propagation was observed on that layer.
