We travelled between Granite Chief and Needle peak along the ridge.  We wanted to look for the presence of wind slabs in N/NW aspects.  At 8700 feet on a north aspect our results were CTM/SP 8cm down on 0.5-1.0mm facets over MFcr.  At 8725 on a NW aspect our results were CTM at 15cm down on 1mm facets and CTH at 30cm down on facets over MFcr.  We were able to confrim the presence of wind slabs as forecasted.  No new avalanches were observed.  HS is 90-120cm near ridgeline.
