More detailed information about the snowpack: 

No signs of current snowpack instability observed today on the N slopes of Blackwood Ridge. In some but not all of the large open areas well below treeline, surface hoar 7 to 10 mm in size existed. This surface hoar is likely to persist until burial by new snow tonight. This is not widespread, but has implications of easy triggering of storm slabs during the upcoming storm cycle in some of the open areas that area well below treeline.
