Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

At the trailhead the winds were light and from the E.  The height of snow was 92".  Ski pen 4" and boot pen 21".  Snow was melting from the trees at 1:00 pm.  There were small pockets of surface hoar in the lowest elevation in open wind protected areas.  In low elevation E facing trees protected from wind there were pockets of cold unconsolidated snow.   E-NE-N aspects in treeline had a breakable crust.  At the summit winds were 30 mph from the E.   The W aspect from the summit had supportable windboard with no signs of cracking or failures.
