More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Dug a pit on a small north facing wind loaded slope. Wind loading was heavy to do micro terrain feature. Forgot to measure slope angle but it was about 30 degrees. Performed extended column test (90cm wide x 30cm deep). Fracture propegated at 40cm below the service at 19 taps -- ECTP-19.  The fractured block could be removed as a whole, but it took some effort.

Did not observe any cracking or instability under skis. Observed several settelment cones.
