Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Thick low level cloud cover existed up to 7200' in the mid morning hours and rose up to 7800' by the early afternoon.  Above the cloud layer, temps were above freezing with calm wind conditions throughout the day.  Snow surface conditions consisted of firm wind pressed snow near treeline in exposed areas and unconsolidated snow below treeline on shaded aspects.  In densely treed areas snow was dripping from trees and refreezing on the snow surface creating variable skiing conditions.  E and SE aspects in this area were developing thin surface sun crusts.  No signs of any avalanche instabilities throughout the day.
