More detailed information about the snowpack:

Winds did not materialize as forecast during the morning hours, but were showing some increase both locally and on remote weather stations at mid day. No blowing snow was observed during the morning hours and new wind slabs had not yet developed. Some small natural wind slab avalanches (size D1) had occurred previously along the summit ridge (likely very late Sunday or on Monday). Snowpit data collected on the summit ridge and informal observations made adjacent to the small avalanches gave no indications of ongoing instability. Settlement cones and cracks around trees indicated around 20 cm (8 in) of storm snow settlement had occurred.
